Three Shootings, One Fatality Overnight in Atlanta
A night of violence in Atlanta left one young man dead.
The Atlanta Police Department did not get a good night's sleep Tuesday, as officers responded to three different shooting calls which left one man dead.
WSB-TV reports that a man in his early 20s was shot in the chest on St. James Drive in northwest Atlanta at approximately 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. The victim did not survive. Police do not have a suspect or motive in the shooting yet, but do not believe it was a random act.
In an unrelated incident, a 16-year-old was shot and wounded on Baker Ridge Drive in the course of an argument. FOX 5 Atlanta reports that the victim was talking with someone when two people pulled up in a silver Chevrolet and started arguing. The situation escalated and shots were fired. The 16-year-old is at Grady Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive.
A third person was shot in the arm during what police believe was a robbery on Fair Street in southwest Atlanta. The victim was transported to Grady Hospital, where he is expected to survive.
No arrests have been made in any of the shootings.
