Topgolf's Midtown Driving Range Creating Almost 500 Jobs

Midtown’s Topgolf driving range is opening in August and has started hiring for some 450 open positions on the staff.

A series of recruitment events will begin next Monday with the eventual goal of hiring front of house staff, kitchen crew members, and hundreds of other openings. The first few recruiting events have sold out, but tickets for the June 28 event are still available. Applicants must be over 16 and can only sign up for one recruiting event.

“Topgolf’s recruitment events put our phenomenal culture of fun and energy on center stage!, the company says on its recruitment event page. “We feature a variety of unique experiences including group activities, interactive panel interviews, one-on-one conversations with our site leadership teams, and more! We promise it’s not like any interview you’ve ever been to! Topgolf offers great pay in a fun, high-energy, high volume entertainment environment!”

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the driving range is already selling memberships and game credits, and is offering discounted rates on membership packages until August 8.

In July of 2014, the site for the 65,000 sq. ft. facility was announced as 1600 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd., approximately three miles from Atlantic Station and Georgia Tech.

“Topgolf Atlanta is a very special project for our company as it is our first-ever truly urban location,” said Topgolf Real Estate Director Zach Shor when the location was announced. “We are excited to become part of the fast-growing west midtown area and offer residents of the ‘live, work, play’ environment another option for their entertainment.”

The new facility will boast 3,000 sq. ft. of private event space and over one hundred private hitting bays on three levels, each of which can accommodate up to six people per bay, according to information released in July.
