Trump: Kemp Will Make A 'Great Governor,' Abrams Is 'Unqualified'

President Trump tweeted out more support for Brian Kemp over the weekend, as early voting continues in Georgia elections.

ATLANTA, GA -- President Donald Trump urged Georgians over the weekend to vote early for Republican gubernatorial hopeful Brian Kemp in America's most watched governor's race. Trump has already endorsed Kemp in the race, but again touted his support for Georgia's current secretary of state in his campaign against Democrat Stacey Abrams, who is seeking to become the nation's first African-American female governor in history.

Kemp is aiming to maintain the GOP's stronghold on the office that it's enjoyed since 2002. National Democrats hope that Georgia will become a swing state, as the nation's midterm elections are widely being seen as a referendum on Trump's White House administration.

Early voting, which began Oct. 15, is already at a all-time high, with more than 515,000 people already have cast their ballot, according to GeorgiaVotes.com. That's a 213-percent increase at this time over the 2014 governor's race.
