Two local Resurgens Orthopaedics physicians named Top Doctors in Atlanta

Drs. Erroll J. Bailey and Robert T. Greenfield III of the Midtown office of Resurgens Orthopaedics (550 Peachtree Street, 19th floor) — Georgia’s largest orthopaedic practice — were recently honored with prestigious awards for medical performance both locally and nationally. Dr. Bailey was named to the 2015 list of Top Doctors in the July issue of Atlanta magazine and Dr. Greenfield was included in the prestigious Top Doctor online listing by Castle Connolly healthcare research company.

Eleven additional Resurgens Orthopaedics physicians joined Drs. Bailey and Greenfield as Top Doctor honorees: Edward H. Holliger IV, Robert A. Kelly, Douglas W. Lundy, Milan Patel, Yvonne E. Satterwhite and Steven B. Wertheim were named to Atlanta magazine’s list while Drs. Roderica E. Cottrell, Tapan K. Daftari, Scott A. Kelly, Philip G. Ploska and Byron D. Rosenstein were included in the prestigious physician listing by Castle Connolly healthcare research company.

The Top Doctors listing is compiled annually by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. — an established healthcare research company based in New York. The organization also compiles Atlanta magazine’s list of Top Doctors annually. Doctors are nominated for consideration through both a nationwide survey and a peer nomination process open to licensed physicians in DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, Clayton and Gwinnett counties. Castle Connolly’s physician-led team of researchers then select the Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes an evaluation of educational and professional experience.

Dr. Lundy, Resurgens Orthopaedics’ Co-President, said the practice is honored to have so many of its physicians recognized as Top Doctors.

Dr. Erroll J. Bailey practices at Resurgens’ Midtown and St. Joseph’s offices. His areas of expertise include adult reconstruction of the foot and ankle, sports medicine of the foot and ankle, total ankle replacement, ballet dancer injuries, general orthopaedics and diabetic feet. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Bailey completed his residency at Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program and his fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery at St. Luke’s in New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Foot & Ankle Society, the Atlanta Orthopaedic Society and the Atlanta Medical Association. Dr. Bailey has been honored as a Top Doctor by Atlanta magazine for five consecutive years.

Dr. Robert T. Greenfield III practices at Resurgens’ Covington and Midtown offices. His areas of expertise include adult reconstructive spine surgery and rehabilitation, minimal access spine surgery and joint reconstruction. He completed his medical degree and residency at Howard University College of Medicine and fellowships in spine surgery and rehabilitation at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center and adult reconstructive spine surgery at Southwestern Orthopaedic Medical Group. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the National Medical Association, Georgia State Medical Association, Atlanta Orthopaedic Society and North American Spine Society. This is Dr. Greenfield’s second appearance on the Castle Connolly Top Doctors online listing.
