Volunteers Goal: 48 Websites in 48 Hours

More than 100 web developers are setting up shop Friday morning at Ponce City Market.

More than 150 Atlanta web developers and designers are spending the weekend -- the entire weekend -- at Ponce City Market.

They are volunteering their time to build 48 websites in just 48 hours, according to WABE,

The goal is to help Atlanta-based nonprofits get new customized Wordpress websites that will help them market their services and make it easier for people to volunteer and donate.

Organizers say it is costing $500,000 to put on, but the nonprofits will receive more than $1.2 million worth of value in the form of new websites and tools.

Among the Atlanta nonprofits selected are the 100 Black Men of America, the YWCA of Greater Atlanta, Literacy Action and the Junior League of Atlanta.
