Water Meter Installation to Affect Midtown Commutes
It will take about a week to get the meter installed, during which time one lane of Piedmont Avenue will be closed down.
Drivers who travel on Piedmont Avenue during the next seven days will have one fewer lane available to them.
According to the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, one lane of Piedmont Avenue must be closed down until Feb. 20 so that crews can install a large water meter at 785 Piedmont Ave. The work will be done between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day, the department said.
The department strongly suggests that you avoid Piedmont Avenue for the next week, if at all possible.
