What to Do if You Witness Animal Cruelty

Meet LifeLine's Fulton Pets of the Week: an adorable sweet and loving young girl, and a fantastic beauty who makes shelter staff smile.

If you witness animal cruelty, it is important that you report it, because you may be the only voice for that animal. Additionally, most animal abusers go on to hurt people. In fact, up to 71% of domestic violence victims report that their abuser has threatened, harmed or killed their pets.

LifeLine’s Fulton County Animal Services Pets of the Week: Navana and Medusa

Navana is an adorable dog with floppy ears who is sweet and loving. Born in 2015, this one-year-old girl weighs 38 lbs. and is still full of puppy energy and playfulness. Unfortunately, she was turned into our shelter by her former owner who said that she’s a good dog, but he didn’t have time for her. So now Navana is understandably confused, sad and overwhelmed at the shelter. She gets along well with other dogs and is smart and eager to please, so she’ll be easy to train. She will blossom in a home with a kind and loving person who will show her what it feels like to be cared for. Navana is eligible for our April “Spring into Adoption” promotion and can be adopted for only $25, including her spay, vaccines and microchip! Will you be the hero who changes Navana’s life? Come meet her and find out!

Medusa is a fantastic dog who is friendly, happy and always makes the shelter staff smile. This total optimist came to us in November from a neglectful situation, but she has always maintained a cheery disposition. Weighing 41 lbs., Medusa is an amazing ball player and will play fetch until you’re tired. Sadly, Medusa is growing tired of watching her canine friends come and go while she waits to be adopted. Could you be the best friend that Medusa has been dreaming of? She is already spayed, microchipped and vaccinated, so she can go home with you today! And she is eligible for our $25 April adoption promotion, so come meet her!

To meet Navana or Medusa and adopt them for only $25 each, please drop by the shelter, email adoptions@fultonanimalservices.com or call 404-613-0357. To view dogs or cats available for adoption, please visit the shelter at 860 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta, 30318 or go to www.fultonanimalservices.com/adopt.
