Woman's Body Discovered Near English Avenue

The Atlanta Police Department is investigating the death of an unidentified woman whose body was discovered near English Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that police estimate that the woman was approximately 30 years old. Her body was discovered near the intersection of Vine and Meldrum streets. Police suspect she had been dead for no more than a day.

Police cannot rule out foul play, but said that there were no obvious signs of violence or a struggle.

The woman will have an autopsy on Wednesday.
