WorldPay to Join Advanced Technology Development Center
The company has already announced plans to relocate its U.S. headquarters to Midtown, bringing over 1,000 new jobs to the area.

A global online payment company is bringing more than its U.S. regional headquarters to Midtown.

According to Atlanta Business Chronicle, WorldPay US plans to open an innovation center at the Advanced Technology Development Center on the Georgia Tech campus. The goal of the innovation center is to improve upon existing online payment technologies and create the next generation of payment software.
Back in November, the Chronicle said that WorldPay’s new U.S. headquarters will be at 201 17th St., a 17-story office tower that dominates the Atlantic Station skyline. WorldPay will bring about 1,200 jobs to the office tower, and is likely in negotiations to get its logo featured on the building.

The company decided to leave its current Sandy Springs address, due in no small part to Invest Atlanta’s approval of a $1.5 million incentives package, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in November.
