β’ 'We lost a good one': Georgia sheriff announces death of longtime public servant (wjcl.com) β Walton County residents are mourning Capt. Tim Tallant, a longtime member of the sheriff's office based in Monroe, after officials announced his death Monday. Sheriff Keith Brooks praised Tallant as a devoted public servant and friend, asking the community across Walton County and Georgia to keep his family and colleagues in their thoughts and prayers.
