• D-Nice Will Present THE FEAST at The Arena at Southlake (broadwayworld.com) — Morrow residents can catch D-Nice's two-night "The Feast" concert experience at The Arena at Southlake beside Southlake Mall on November 27–28, with doors at 7 p.m. and shows at 8. Big-name hip-hop and R&B artists, plus surprise guests, will turn the school-board-owned venue into a holiday weekend music hub, with tickets available now online.
• Atlanta area high schools unveiled for Red Lobster Band of The Year (star-telegram.com) — Morrow High School's band has been named to the Top 25 field for the Red Lobster Band of the Year competition, putting local students in the running for a $10,000 prize. Judges will narrow the Metro Atlanta list in October and November before two finalists perform at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in December ahead of the HBCU Band of the Year showcase.
• Morehouse Basketball: Coach Dixon, Maroon Tigers Won't Fall for Preseason Honors 'Trap' (newsbreak.com) — Morehouse's men's basketball coach is downplaying preseason hype after his team's SIAC title run, which they clinched last March at the Clayton County Convocation Center in Morrow. He stresses that despite returning standout guards and strong academics, the Maroon Tigers must prove themselves again on the court this season rather than relying on rankings.
