80 Years of Fun with Rocks!
Mother's Day Weekend Gem, Mineral, Jewelry, and Fossil Show Highlights 80th Birthday of the Georgia Mineral Society
The Georgia Mineral Society is the oldest and largest gem and mineral society in the Southeast. Founded in 1935, the non-profit organization will be celebrating 80 years of educating and entertaining people with rocks, minerals, and fossils. The 2015 show will be held at the North Atlanta Trade Center, 1700 Jeurgens Court in Norcross, GA.
Visitors will be able to purchase beautiful mineral specimens from all over the world. Fossils worthy of a museum display will go home with some lucky people. And there will be jewelry plus jewelry making supplies too. Over 30 dealers will be there with a vast assortment of geological goodies.
Children always have a good time. They can purchase inexpensive rocks and fossils, get free stickers, and view educational displays. They even get to bid on special children only items at a Saturday auction.
