‘Orphan Train’ Author, NY Times Bestselling Novelist Christina Baker Kline, Talks Books in Norcross June 6

The Gwinnett Public Library’s Norcross Branch will host Christina Baker Kline, the No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of “Orphan Train,” “The Exiles” and eight other novels, during one of her two metro Atlanta stops in June.

Kline will be discussing her new release, “The Foursome,” at a pair of Bookmiser-sponsored events June 5 and 6.

“The Foursome” is a reimagining of a true story: Two sisters in 19^th century North Carolina – Kline’s own distant relatives – who married world-famous conjoined twins from Siam, Chang and Eng Bunker.

On Friday, June 5, at 6 p.m., Kline will be discussing the book in East Cobb at Bookmiser, 3822 Roswell Road, Marietta. Tickets are $35 and include an autographed and personalized copy of “The Foursome,” a photo with the author, wine and hors d’oeuvres, and promotional swag. Click here for tickets.

And her Saturday event, in partnership with the Gwinnett County Public Library, will be at 3 p.m. at Gwinnett Public Library’s Norcross Branch, 5735 Buford Highway, Norcross. Kline, who is published in more than 40 countries, has received the New England Prize for Fiction, the Maine Literary Award, and a Barnes & Noble Discover Award, among other honors. Her books have been chosen by hundreds of communities, universities and schools as “One Book, One Read” selections, and her essays, articles and reviews have appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe and The San Francisco Chronicle.

In its starred review for “The Foursome,” Kirkus called the book, “A riveting and insightful story.”

Kline is a graduate of Yale, Cambridge and the University of Virginia, where she was a Henry Hoyns Fellow in Fiction Writing. A resident of New York City and Southwest Harbor, Maine, she and her husband have three sons.
