• Cat tests positive for rabies after attacking 2 people in Norcross (atlantanewsfirst.com) — A rabid cat recently attacked two people near the 4300 block of Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross, prompting county officials to urge residents to avoid strange-acting animals and vaccinate their pets. If you're bitten or scratched by a stray, seek medical care immediately, then contact GNR Public Health or Gwinnett Animal Welfare to report the incident and arrange pickup of suspicious animals.
   

• Air Force sets aside $3.5 billion for cleanup, construction and restoration (cleveland.com) — A Norcross-based firm, Cape-SRS JV LLC, is among 34 small businesses chosen to compete for up to $3.5 billion in long-term Air Force cleanup and construction work through 2034. • Korean-American restaurant — Beloved Brookhaven Staple Closes After 40 Years (koreadaily.com) — A long-loved Korean-American restaurant, Donnie's Country Cookin', is closing its original Brookhaven location after nearly 40 years, ending an era for many metro Atlanta diners. The business had grown to include branches in Stone Mountain, Norcross, and Clarkesville, and its owners are now retiring after years of serving affordable, homestyle comfort food to loyal regulars.
