Everyone at the inaugural First Friday breakfast for the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce can now answer those questions. Move over “Are You Smatter than a Fifth Grader,” here comes “Are you Smarter than a Southwest Gwinnett Business Person?”
Thanks to the incredibly knowledgeable Lisa Anders,(pictured) executive director of Explore Gwinnett, the group in attendance June 7 delighted in learning the impact tourism has on businesses in Berkeley Lakes, Norcross and Peachtree Corners. Lisa and her team partner with many of the 100 hotels in Gwinnett County to bid for large events seeking a safe and entertaining venue.

They do everything from stuffing welcome bags to training volunteer ambassadors to securing the biggest sporting and entertaining events for Gwinnett. She is quite tuned into the businesses and needs of the members of this new organization and had quite a list of ideas we can put to good use such as supplying her with coupons in print as well as downloadable ones.
The Southwest Gwinnett Chamber will hold its next monthly meeting July 12 at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast on Peachtree Industrial.
