ICYMI: A candlelight Valentine's dinner ... at Waffle House

NORCROSS, GA -- This Valentine’s Day, scattered, smothered and covered is for lovers.

Waffle House, the Norcross-based breakfast-food chain, will be taking reservations for candle-lit dinners at dozens of locations from Florida to Colorado.

The promotion, called “It’s A Waffle House Love Story,” is in its ninth year.

On its website, Waffle House lists the locations that will be participating, along with phone numbers and the names of employees in charge of taking reservations for February 14.

Breaking out the white table cloths and candles is quite a departure for the chain, known for its 24-hour availability and fast-casual service.

But it’s clearly a hit with the chain’s legions of waffle-loving fans.

“Wish I Had Someone To Take To @WaffleHouse For Valentine’s Day,” one Twitter follower wrote in response to the chain’s post about the event.

“We will be there!” the chain’s social-media folks wrote in response. “You won’t be alone.”
