Mall of Georgia Welcomes '2013 Grill with the Falcons Built by the Home Depot’ to Movies Under the Stars

Summer is heating up, and so are the grills! To kick off the season of sizzle and to celebrate the tradition of tailgating, the Atlanta Falcons will host the 2013 Grill With The Falcons Built By The Home Depot at the Mall of Georgia on Saturday, June 15. From 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., fans can interact with many of their favorite members of the Falcons organization and enjoy live entertainment, delicious food from Atlanta-area food trucks and a carnival-style midway with games and prize drawings.

Attendees can look forward to appearances by Falcons Head Coach Mike Smith, Falcons players, alumni, cheerleaders and Freddie the Falcon. Coach Smith and Falcons players will even host tailgates of their own, right alongside event attendees! To get things really fired up, the top 20 tailgater finalists will compete head-to-head for the title of Falcons Grill Master, showcasing their best game day recipes, set-up and overall spirit. Coach Smith and Falcons players will also vie for the winning title in the “Celebrity Division” of the Tailgate Cook-Off. A portion of proceeds for this event will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

After an exciting morning of Falcons fare, food and fun in the sun, stick around to cool off with Mall of Georgia’s Movies Under The Stars series. Head over to the Village Amphitheatre at 5 p.m. for a variety of family-friendly activities and tasty concessions. Guests can also look forward to an exciting car giveaway from Jim Ellis Buick GMC and Advantage Hole In One Insurance. 10 contestants will be chosen from the dealership’s online registration and two walk-up contestants be will be selected on-site for a chance to win a 2013 Buick Verano. The feature concert artist, local talent Line 6, will take the stage at The Village Pavilion beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the feature film, Parental Guidance, will play on the screen once the sun sets.
