Gwinnett Man Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver in Norcross

Police believe the victim was dragged for about a quarter-mile before the driver left the scene without offering help.

NORCROSS, GA — Police are seeking help finding a motorist who struck a Norcross man early Saturday morning, then drove off and left him for dead.

Ramon Carrion, 46, was found at a shopping center on South Norcross Tucker Road shortly after 3 a.m. on Saturday.

Investigators determined that he was probably hit by a vehicle some time between 11 p.m. and midnight near Danbury Drive — about a quarter mile from the shopping center.

Video surveillance would show Carrion was dragged from the spot he was hit to the shopping center, where he was dislodged by the vehicle.

The driver immediately fled the scene and never tried to help after discovering a person had been hit.

The vehicle is described as most likely a 1998-2001 Ford Explorer. It is black with either gold or gray trim around the tire wells and bumper.

It also has some type of tag on the front that looks blue in color.
