Holcomb Bridge Still Closed After Train Hit Truck
Police were urging motorists to continue avoiding downtown Norcross on Wednesday morning.

NORCROSS, GA β Holcomb Bridge Road was still shut down Wednesday morning after a train struck a tractor-trailer Tuesday afternoon.
All of the several railroad crossings that had been blocked were open by rush hour except Holcomb Bridge, Norcross Police said Wednesday morning.
According to police, a family was moving their belongings in the truck when it got stuck on the train track.

They were all able to escape unharmed, with the driver getting out of the cab of the truck mere seconds before the train plowed all the way through it.

Police were still urging motorists to avoid the area early Wednesday. Crews were still working to clear debris in the vicinity of the crash.
