Participants to this event will be able to gather information on what human trafficking is and how to identify human trafficking. Participants will also learn how to safely report human trafficking, and hear from local and federal law enforcement, state legislators, and nonprofit support agencies about their efforts to combat this issue. There will also be the presentation of testimonies of previous human trafficking victims, giving insight on the hardships and difficulties faced by victims, who are many times children.

Community members and organizations, who are currently working within the Hispanic community – such as Street Grace, Tapestri, Norcross First United Methodist Church, Out of Darkness, Georgia Latinas Against Domestic Violence, Serenity’s Steps, and others, will be onsite at the event to provide referrals and resources to anyone who would like additional information.
