Basketball State Championships: It's Gwinnett Vs. Gwinnett Again

We all know Gwinnett County is pretty competitive in Georgia high school sports.

Just how competitive?

All-time, Gwinnett schools have won or shared 311 Georgia High School Association sports championships, including the boys basketball title won by Dacula in 1938 and 10 more already won this school year.

That's not a misprint.

Even more telling is how many times county teams have squared off for the big trophy.

When North Gwinnett and Norcross high schools meet Saturday for the GHSA Class AAAAAA girls basketball championship, it will be the 29th All-Gwinnett final in state history.

That's not a misprint, either.
