Ivy Prep Network Schools To Host Job Fair Wednesday

Ivy Preparatory Academies will host a job fair from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, to recruit energetic educators for the 2015-16 school year.

More than two dozen teaching positions are available for highly qualified educators. IPA operates three free single-gender public charter schools: Ivy Prep Gwinnett, its flagship school for girls, and the DeKalb County schools, Ivy Prep Kirkwood School for Girls and Ivy Prep Young Men’s Leadership Academy.

“We want educators who are passionate about teaching, who are acceptable to feedback, and who are looking to grow professionally.” said Ms. Joy Treadwell, Director of Academic Affairs.

The job fair Wednesday at 1807 Memorial Drive in Atlanta will help IPA fill growth positions resulting from a spike in enrollment. IPA currently serves about 1,000 scholars. The charter school network recently expanded its boundaries to serve students living in the City of Atlanta and Fulton County. IPA’s DeKalb campus is also adding a new grade level in the upcoming school year.

IPA schools have extended days, an extended year, and a challenging college preparatory curriculum. The mission of IPA schools is to provide a high quality education within a structured and supportive environment that prepares scholars to enter and succeed in the colleges and universities of their choice.

The following positions are among those available at Ivy Prep Gwinnett, the flagship charter school for girls, which is located at 3705 Engineering Drive, Peachtree Corners:

· High School Math Teacher

· High School English/Language Arts Teacher

· Middle School Science Teachers

· Middle School English/Language Arts Teachers

The following positions are available at Ivy Prep Kirkwood, which has separate schools for girls and boys at 1807 Memorial Drive, Atlanta.

· K-5 Elementary School Teachers

· High School Math Teacher

· High School English/Language Arts Teacher

· Middle School Science Teacher

· Middle School Technology Teacher

· Middle School Art Teacher

· Middle School Music Teacher
