Lawrenceville Man Hit By Officer's Car, Dies: Gwinnett PD
The crash happened early Easter morning near the Brook Hollow Parkway and Mitchell Road intersection in Norcross.
NORCROSS, GA — A Lawrenceville man died after being hit by a police officer's car early Easter morning, Gwinnett County Police said.
The West Precinct officer was driving near the Brook Hollow Parkway and Mitchell Road intersection around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, when his car hit the man as he was walking in the roadway, police said. It is unknown if the officer was driving his patrol car or his personal car.
The officer immediately rendered aid, but the man later died as a result of his injuries, police said. It is unknown if the man died at the scene or the hospital.

The man was identified by police as Ramon Perez, 48. The officer suffered a minor injury, police said.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the case.
