This Friday eve, you’re invited to join the Old School Playground -- quite possibly the finest acoustic oldies trio consisting of three tall guys in the greater Metro Atlanta area -- for a singin’ & strummin’ shindig!

The OSPG is back at 45 South, the very groovy cafe/coffeehouse in the heart of historic downtown Norcross.

“We’re definitely not a corny ‘moldy oldies’ group,” says Peter, the ringleader and tallest member of the trio.

“We perform creative close-harmony, folk-rock arrangements of great top 40 hits from the Golden Age of Rock and Soul -- the late 50s through the mid-1970s. We do great songs ranging from British Invasion hits to The Association to The Stylistics to Frankie Valli, and beyond.”

They’re also not shy about doing offbeat hits -- the songs you hate to love or love to hate.

“Since this week’s gig is on Friday the 13th, it will be the audience’s bad luck to hear us toss in a few of the most unlikely tunes to ever became hit records.”

Another plus -- no long, boring guitar or drum solos.

“If you don’t like a song we’re playing, no problem,” says Peter. ”Another will be along in a few minutes.”
