Man Charged In Fatal Gwinnett Hit-And-Run

NORCROSS, GA — A 33-year-old man is being charged with homicide after police say he hit a 66-year-old woman with a car and fled the scene.

Sadie Ware, of Norcross, was walking into the roadway near Indian Trail Tuesday when she was hit by a vehicle, according to the Gwinnett Police Department. She died at the scene, police said.

Ismael Perez, of Norcross, is charged with homicide by vehicle leaving the scene and hit and run resulting in serious injury or death, police said.
