Murdered Woman And Fleeing Man Identified: Police
An early morning murder in Norcross Friday leaves 2 children motherless and a father who, police say, will likely be facing murder charges.

NORCROSS, GA — An early morning murder victim has been identified as Angela Burnett. 37, of Norcross.
Police are searching for Perth Earl, 39. Perth is wanted for malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault, according to police. His latest place of residency is unknown, though he may have lived at the home on Phil Niekro Parkway at some time in the past.

An early morning murder in Norcross Friday leaves two children motherless and a father who will likely be facing murder charges, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.
Police are investigating a murder that took place at 4192 Phil Niekro Parkway in unincorporated Norcross at approximately 2 a.m. When officers arrived at the two story home, they found a woman already deceased. There were three people inside the home, two young children and a special needs young adult.

Police don't believe the children or special needs adult saw what happened. All thee of them were upstairs when officers arrived.

The suspect is an man who is possibly the father of the two youngest children, according to police. Police believe he may have already fled the state. Though police have not had direct contact with him, they believe he is aware of the investigation. Police say an arrest warrant for murder is likely. Additional charges could be sought as well.
A call from outside Gwinnett County informed police of a domestic incident at the home.
The children are currently staying with other family members.
"This is an unfortunate event involving the loss of life," said Cpl. Michele Pihera, Gwinnett County Police Department. "The victim’s children are now motherless, and the father is the one who will likely face charges for her murder."
