Replica Gun Found At Scene Where Man Was Killed By Gwinnett Police
The GBI said officers shot and killed the man in Norcross after he pointed a weapon at them Friday.
NORCROSS, GA — The GBI has released a new detail in an investigation involving a man being shot and killed Friday near Singleton Road by Gwinnett County Police.
Authorities said a replica gun was found at the scene. They did not say the nature of the replica gun.

The GBI said Saturday the man had his hands in his pockets and did not comply to police commands.
An officer deployed his taser, after which the man pointed his weapon at officers, the GBI said. Police shot the man, and he later died at a hospital, authorities said.

Gwinnett Police said Friday a note was found in the man's pocket addressing the police department.
No officers were injured in the shooting, authorities said.
The GBI has not released the man's identity.
