Rotary Club Names Summerour Student as Student of the Month
The Peachtree Corners Rotary Club named Melinda Montes with its monthly honor.
The Peachtree Corners Rotary Club recognizes a student who has done something outstanding whether academically, athletically or through community service.
Recently Summerour Middle School student Melinda Montes, a sixth grader, was recognized as the club's Student of the Month.
Montes received the following proclamation from the club:

Summerour Middle School is proud to recognize Melinda Montes from 6th grade as our Rotary Club “Student of the Month."
Melinda is an energetic learner. She is eager to acquire knowledge and is always willing to help other students. According to her teachers, she is a model student who goes above and beyond in the classroom. Her teachers describe Melinda as smart and hardworking. Melinda loves her teachers. She is active in the band at Summerour.
Outside of school Melinda loves reading and playing outside.
We are so pleased and honored to present Melinda with this award. It’s a joy to have Melinda at Summerour. She represents what all students are striving for at SMS. She is respectful, responsible, and a role model.
