The beat goes on this Saturday night, April 25 from 7:30-10:30, at 45 South Cafe when the Old School Playground debuts our new line-up! (No cover charge, no minimum, and our gigs there are always fun elbow-to-elbow social events to hang with old friends and meet some new ones.)

Formerly an acoustic trio, the OSPG proudly welcomes aboard a rhythm section and a horn section in the form of two versatile, groovin’ players: Don’s our steady rockin’ drummer man and Joe’s our hot honkin’ sax & mellow flute playin’ dude.

We’re still bringing the great hits from the Golden Age of Rock & Soul with close harmony vocals, but now -- as they used to say on American Bandstand -- it’s got a beat and you can dance to it!

Also, Jeanette at 45 South informs us that -- in addition to the splendid selection of wines, beers, coffee drinks, etc. -- her cafe is now serving delicious meals and snacks from 5-9pm on weekends. Click here and page down to see their tasty new menu.

As always, the OSPG welcomes good players and singers to sit in for a song or three. Got a song request? Yo, just shout it out.
