Search Is On For Man Who Shoots Up, Robs 2 Restaurants: Police
Gwinnett Police need the public's help in locating a man who is accused of shooting up and robbing two Norcross restaurants.
NORCROSS, GA β The Gwinnett County Police Department Robbery Unit needs the publicβs help in locating a man who is accused of robbing two Norcross restaurants at gunpoint.
The lead detective assigned to two separate armed robbery investigations has identified and secured warrants against Tekle E. Anenia, 37.
Anenia has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The first robbery occurred Jan. 2 at the Pollo Campero restaurant at 5254 Jimmy Carter Boulevard in unincorporated Norcross. Police say Anenia pulled out a handgun and demanded the cash from the register. A restaurant employee heard two gunshots as Anenia fled from the business with the stolen money.
The second robbery occurred the following day, Jan. 3, at the Pollo Norteno restaurant across the street from the previous robbery at 5297 Jimmy Carter Boulevard in unincorporated Norcross. Again, police say Anenia pulled out a handgun and demanded the cash from the register. When the employee was unable to open the register, the Anenia fired one round into the refrigerator behind the employee. Police say Anenia then grabbed the entire register and ran out of the business.

There are felony warrants for Anenia in these cases and police say his whereabouts are unknown. Police believe he may be staying in the Norcross area.
