Robbery Reported at Subway in Norcross

Inside the Police Reports: The suspect took cash from the restaurant, located on Beaver Ruin Road.

A Subway restaurant in Norcross was robbed during business hours earlier this month.

According to the Norcross Police report, the incident occurred Thursday, Jan. 3, at the fast-food chain located at 2055 Beaver Ruin Road.

The employee told police that an armed man entered the restaurant at 7:15 p.m., went to the front counter and demanded money.

She removed the cash drawer and placed it on the counter in front of the suspect. He grabbed the money and ran out the door toward Pinnacle Pointe.

Responding officers searched the surrounding area and interviewed employees at the adjacent businesses. One employee of a laundromat was able to give a description of a suspicious person he saw earlier.

The victim described the suspect as an African American wearing a black hoodie, black pants, a black mask and a black hat. He was 5'9", had a slim build and brown eyes, and was carrying a black handgun.
