Subway Offers $2 Sandwiches in December

And you thought $5 was a steal for a Subway sandwich.

The national chain announced that it will offer cold-cut and meatball six-inch subs for just $2 starting today, Dec. 1, throughout the end of the year, according to national publications. 

Other major food chains have set the trend of offering two-buck menu items, including Taco Bell and Chipotle, but this is the first sandwich joint to enter the playing field. 

Subway had previously set a new price point for many of its sandwiches, offering them for $5 but they've cut that by more than half in a traditionally slow month for fast food sales.
