Suspects Arrested in Norcross Home Burglary

Police say David McCray and Chris Westbrook pawned items that were stolen from the home.

NORCROSS, GA — A pair of suspects in a July 9 burglary in Norcross have been arrested.

David McCray, 22, of Peachtree Corners, and Chris Westbrook, 20, of Snellville, were booked into Gwinnett County Jail at about 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Both face charges of burglary and theft by deception. Westbrook is also charged with violating his parole.

On Saturday, July 9, officers were dispatched to a home on Shenta Oak Drive in unincorporated Norcross.

When they arrived, they spoke with the resident, who said his home was burglarized and several items, including a firearm, were stolen.

Later, a detective assigned to the case discovered that McCray and Westbrook had pawned some of the items stolen from the home, police say.
