Teen Strangles Mother To Death In Norcross: Police

Police say the attack stemmed from a fight over the 16 year old needing to take his medication.

NORCROSS, GA — A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for strangling his mother to death, police say.

Gwinnett County Police are investigating whether mental illness played a role in the attack, which they say stemmed from an argument about the Norcross teen needing to take his medication.

The incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday, when police responded to the 1300 building of the Oakwood Vista Apartments.
