Two Found Dead in Norcross Home

UPDATE: Police identified the homicide victims as a mother and her adult son.

NORCROSS, GA — Two people were found dead in their Norcross home Sunday night after a family member called police to check on their welfare.

Gwinnett County Police made a welfare check at about 10 p.m. Sunday at a home on the 3000 block of Chelsea Park Lane in unincorporated Norcross.

The caller had told police he or she was unable to make contact with family members at that address, according to a news release.

When officers arrived, they found two deceased people inside the home -- Nicola Sramek, 61, and her son James Sramek, 29.

The deaths were treated as suspicious and the county's homicide unit responded. Police said they were still investigating the exact cause of death Monday.
