‘Underperforming’ Publix Closes on Indian Trail Road

All 85 employees were given the opportunity to move to another store.

“The store had been underperforming for several years,” said Brenda Reid, community relations manager for the Georgia Publix stores, in an email.

There were 85 associates working at the store, according to Reid, and all over them were given the opportunity to move to a different store. “No associates lost their jobs,” Reid said.

There are no plans to open a replacement store at this time, but Reid points out that four additional Publix stores are location within about a 15-minute drive, including and the store at .
