Developer Dan O'Leary is scheduled to present his gambling complex idea to the Georgia Lottery Board this Thursday.
O'Leary is proposing to build a at the OFS fiber optic site near Jimmy Carter Boulevard and I-85 in unincorporated Norcross.
The gambling complex would have 7,500 video lottery terminals in addition to a 1,500-room luxury hotel, a performane venue, spa, parking garage, retail and dining. It aims to attract 5 million visitors and produce $350 million for the HOPE scholarship annually.

The public and media are welcome to the Georgia Lottery Board meeting, so we want to know: What would you ask the developer if you were attending? What would you ask the board?

The meeting will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the Georgia Lottery Corporation building at 250 Williams Street, Suite 300, in Atlanta.
If the board approves O'Leary's proposal, the site would then have to be rezoned to mixed-use, which the Gwinnett County Commission would need to pass.
After that, construction can start immediately, said O'Leary in an interview with Norcross Patch.
