USDA/Natural Resources Conservation Service has announced that the 2014 Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) cut off date is December 6, 2013. EQIP is available to farmers, including vegetable/fruit/honey producers, livestock and forestry producers. EQIP is a voluntary program that provides financial assistance to help plan and implement conservation practices that address natural resource concerns and for opportunities to improve soil, water, plant, animal, air and related resources on agricultural land and non-industrial private forestland. There will be on-site sign up for Cobb County on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 9am to 5pm at the USDA/NRCS Marietta Field Office, 678 South Cobb Drive, Suite 150, Marietta, GA 30060.
