Rescheduled: Understanding and Supporting Those Suffering from Addictive Behavior

Rescheduled:

On Wednesday, February 5, at 6:30pm, Faith Partners at Mt. Zion UMC presents a special presentation on “The Addicted Brain: Why Addiction is a Physical Disease,” by Dr. Harry Strothers, who is dual certified in geriatrics and family medicine.

Dr. Strothers is Chair of Family Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine and recipient of the 2013 Family Physicians award from the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians.

He will reveal the science behind addictive behavior, allowing us to better understand the difficulties that addiction brings to those who suffer from it as well as those who love and support someone who is battling addiction.
The presentation is in the church chapel.

Mt. Zion UMC is at 1770 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta. Call the church office at 770-971-1465 for information.
