Cobb Tots & Kids guide to free and cheap seats for this week’s family flicks.

The Picture Show (4400 Roswell Rd, Marietta, GA 30062) is showing Judy Moody & the Not Bummer Summer (PG) and Rio The Movie 3D (G) & Soul Surfer (PG) this week. All seats are $1.75! Times vary so check listings, click here! (FYI: Soul Surfer is the inspirational sports drama based on an incredible true story of Bethany Hamilton who was attacked by a shark while surfing. Although a great come back movie that will inspire your young athlete, if you have a beach trip coming up, you may want to think twice about taking kids to see this one!!)

Cobb County Library has regular weekly family movies at various branches. Movies are FREE at the library, no reservations required. Call location the day of to get the title!

Regal $1 Family Film Festival is showing Alpha & Omega (PG) on Tuesday and Charlotte’s Web on Wednesday at Town Center Stadium 16 both playing at 10am and all seats are $1.

Merchant’s Walk Cinema is showing Furry Vengeance (PG) at 10am on Tuesday and on Thursday they are showing Legend of the Guardians (PG) as part of their Summer Kid Show Series. Seats are $1 and they have deals on kid size popcorn & drinks too!

Earl Strand Theater on Marietta Square is hosting Midweek Munchkin Madness on Wednesday this week. Kung Fu Panda (PG) is showing at 10am but get there at 9:30 to enjoy the live organ pops variety show and sing-along featuring The Strand’s Mighty Allen Theatre Organ! Kids under 12 get in free, individual tickets $5. On August 3^rd, they will be showing Curious George (G).

Beyond Cobb, Studio Movie Grill in Alpharetta is showing Charlotte’s Web (G) Monday through Friday this week at 11am. $1 for kids, $2 for adults. On Saturdays and Sundays at 11am, SMG has “Kidtoons Family Matinees”! This month's kidtoon is “Barbar & the Adventures of Badou”. All tickets are $2 each.

Saturday, July 23rd, enjoy an outdoor movie "Shrek Forever After" (PG) at Riverside Park in Roswell (575 Riverside Road, Roswell, GA). Bring a picnic along with your lawn chairs and blankets, enjoy great music, play on the playgrounds, then settle in for movie fun. Food and drinks may be purchased at the concession stand. Movie will begin at dark.
