Cobb EMC Annual Meeting Celebrates Members at the North Georgia State Fair
Members to receive free fair tickets, chance to win prizes.

Cobb EMC members are invited to join the electric cooperative for its Annual Meeting, which will be held at the North Georgia State Fair at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta, Ga. on Saturday, September 20, and enjoy the rest of the day with their families. Each registered member will receive free parking, entrance to the fair and four unlimited ride tickets, plus a chance to win door prizes including iPads, Visa® gift cards, a bill credit, Big Green Egg® grills and a refurbished truck
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and will end when the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Residential members must register with photo identification, while commercial, government and church groups must provide authorization to represent their organizations at registration.
No new nomination petitions were submitted to the secretary of the board of directors, so incumbent candidates will be running unopposed: Ed Crowell (District 1), David Tennant (District 6) and Malcolm Swanson (District 7).

During the event, Cobb EMC representatives will give an update on the cooperative and teach members ways to save on their electric bills, along with electric safety tips. Refreshments will be provided. The Cobb EMC’s volunteer Women’s Task Force will also raffle a handmade quilt to raise money for local student scholarships.
