Cobb Needs New Animal Control Leader
Only current county employees may apply to replace Don Bruce for now.

Cobb County is accepting applications Monday through Friday this week from current employees who want to become operations manager.
Don Bruce's last day in the job was Friday.
"Once all the applications are in, it will take several weeks to review, interview and hire someone," county spokesman Robert Quigley said.

News of Bruce's departure came Friday to those on the county animal shelter's email list, who were notified of a going-away party at noon that day.
Bruce, who had been with the county for 11 years, couldn't immediately be reached. He is moving to Orlando, FL, Quigley said.
