Singles Groups in Northeast and East Cobb

• Atlanta Metro Singles is a Northeast Cobb-based group formed in 2006 by Realtor Lisa Russell. It has a large membership base of 2,145 singles, plus their guests. The group is all about having great times, making new friends or even possibly finding your soul mate. Atlanta Metro Singles events are varied and held at different venues. The age range for the group is 35 and up, although all ages are welcome. No membership fee.
• East Cobb's Johnson Ferry Baptist Church Singles Ministry believes that walking with God was never meant to be done by yourself. The church has several groups to accommodate singles of all ages. Becoming involved is the key to connecting with others, and attendance at one of the group's studies promises to challenge your faith and spiritual walk. Opportunities abound in Bible studies, mission trips and social activities.
• The Marietta Singles/Singles Dances Atlanta Meetup Group has its schedule listed on www.singlesdancesatlanta.com. Please be sure to read the dance schedule and dress code before arriving at an event. The age range for the group is 35 to 65. It is estimated that 250-plus singles come from the metro region's 21 counties and beyond to attend the dances. No membership fee.
• Unity North Atlanta Singles is a Northeast Cobb-based group. It is a spiritual community sharing in many kinds of activities. In seven months the group has grown to nearly 200 members, some not registered on the meetup.com site. Past events include an outdoor gathering and potluck, and mystic wisdom movie night. No membership fee.
• Cobb's Single 30s is a new group dedicated to fun events for singles ages 30 to 39. The first event is Jazz at the High Museum this Friday. No membership fee.
• Atlanta Travel and Social is Marietta-based and has 551 members. It has been in existence for years. You can make valuable social connections and cultivate relationships with other elbow-rubbers in your area. Open for singles and couples who enjoy making new friends and participating in organized group travel and social and fundraising events. No membership fee.
• 575 Singles (Cobb/Cherokee Singles), most of whose members are from Cobb and south Cherokee counties. Most events are in Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Woodstock and other areas OTP. They do ITP activities from time to time; however, that is not the central focus. The target age group is 25 to 45, although they do not turn away people outside this age range. No membership fee.

• 35Up! is Atlanta-based but holds many events in Marietta. The group boasts 3,461 members. The group is a social group of adults ages 35 and up who want to get out of the house, try new things and new places, and have a lot of fun while meeting other great people. This group welcomes singles, couples and divorced people looking to expand their social and professional circles. There are different types of social events throughout the month designed to introduce you to friends in your age range. Name tags are given to members who RSVP to events, plus you receive drink and food specials. No membership fee.
• Looking to play golf but don't like playing as a single? The Atlanta Singles Golf Association is a Roswell-based group that holds golf events throughout the year. They play for fun. Also, a couple of times each year they travel to a golf resort for a weekend of golf and socializing. They do have annual membership fees, but anyone signing up on meet-up can play at the member price for the first event.
• Sky's the Limit for Singles is operated by the people who run Sky's the Limit Travel and Social Club. It has a current membership of more than 1,000 singles, bringing together interesting, independent and intelligent individuals from all walks of life and ages to meet those with the same likes and interests.
• Single Christian Network is a group created for Christian singles to learn more about God, meet singles from all over the world, share the word of God, give advice, hang out and have fun. What will you get? Bible study, a chance to meet like-minded people, organized and fun events, and prehaps meeting the love of your life.
• Treasure Hunting Singles: Find Love While Geocaching. Treasure hunting? Well, it's sort of like treasure hunting. It's geocaching. This is a club to find love and friendship during geocaching adventures. What a great way to meet your match while combining knowledge, experience and fun while treasure hunting. So what is geocaching? Geocaching is an outdoor sporting activity in which the participants use a GPS receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches," anywhere.
• Atlanta Tennis Singles. If you like the idea of "Tennis Your Way" and are single, this group is for you. Plan your own singles event. If you just want one other player, set your RSVP limit to two people. If you want a group event, then set it as high as you wish. If you want beginners, say so in your event details. If you don't care the level, say that in your event details. It's "Open Source" tennis at its finest.
