Disagreement Between NE Cobb Couple Becomes Violent

A Northeast Cobb couple is behind bars after a disagreement about a missing wallet became violent.

Just before 5:40 a.m. Saturday, William Ward Kingery allegedly became "extremely angry" with girlfriend Caitlin Fisher about the wallet, according to an arrest warrant.

Inside the Extended Stay America on Busbee Drive where they had been living for the past two weeks, Kingery allegedly accused Fisher of taking the wallet, got on top of her and punched her six to seven times, according to Kingery's warrant.

"The left side of Fisher's face was severely swollen and her eye was completely shut and unusable," authorities said.

Her left eye was black and blue and her left shoulder and arm were scratched and red, according to the warrant.

When a man attempted to help Fisher, Kingery allegedly pulled a black semiautomatic pistol out of a drawer, loaded it and warned the man to get out of the room, according to the warrant.

Kingery and Fisher were arrested after police found 15.5 grams of Psilocybin, 14.2 grams of marijuana and four suspected Xanax pills in the room.

They each face two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of marijuana distribution. Kingery is being held in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond on two additional counts: aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a weapon.

Fisher remains in custody in lieu of $10,000 bond.
