Feast of the Transfiguration of Christ

Every year on August 6 Orthodox Christians around the world celebrate the Transfiguration of Christ on Mount Tabor.

The Transfiguration of Christ on Mount Tabor is considered a “Theophany” (a revelation of the Divine on earth). Jesus Christ is revealed to his disciples as God radiating the Divine Uncreated Light.
