Mandala Sand Painting for World Healing by Tibetan Monks Closing Ceremony

Tibetan Monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery conclude their week of mandala sand painting with a ceremony and dismantling of the sacred mandala signifying the impermanence of life.  Part of the sand is given to attendees at the ceremony and the remainder of the sand which has been infused with the Buddhist prayers for world healing will be ceremoniously dispersed into nearby Lake Cherful in Mountain Park, GA.  The waters of Lake Cherful will carry the healing energy of the sands into rivers and eventually into oceans and around the world.
