Free workshop to help businesses with government compliance

Interactive expert panel will feature lawyers, investigators and business executives.

A panel of law enforcement, lawyers and corporate executives will host a free interactive expert panel discussion to teach business owners how to effectively respond to government investigations.

β€œWhat to do when the government knocks on your door” will be held Oct. 28 from 8-10 a.m. at One Atlantic Center, 1201 West Peachtree St. NW in Atlanta. The panelists include:
β€’ Zahra S. Karinshak, partner with Krevolin & Horst and former federal prosecutor
β€’ Amy E. Hutchens, president of CLEAResources and former Air Force Judge Advocate
β€’ Alana Black, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the North District of Georgia and former SEC counsel
β€’ Will Share, FBI Special Agent

β€œIn an environment of increasing regulation and enforcement, it is critical to the success of a business to be prepared to answer to the government for the conduct of its employees at any level,” said panelist Karinshak, who also served as a military intelligence officer and Deputy Executive Counsel to then-Georgia Governor Roy Barnes. β€œThis program touches businesses of all industries and sizes.”

The target audience is CEOs, CFOs, general counsels, business owners, human resource executives, compliance officers and other executives. Some topics to be discussed include wage and hour regulations, domestic and international corruption, insider trading and other government investigations.
