UGA/Cobb County Extension will be holding our award winning program From Your Garden to Your Table on April 16, 2014 at the Roberts School in Acworth. Learn about planting a vegetable garden and safely storing your harvest. Topics will include: site selection, garden planning, soil testing, fertilization, mulching, maintenance, pests, insects and more. Food safety topics will focus on pressure canning, water bath canning and freezing your produce. These classes will help the novice and the seasoned gardener. Classes will begin at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM. The location is Roberts School, 4681 School Street, Acworth, GA 30101. Pre-registration is required.
