Community Corner

Housing Justice in Atlanta (Marietta)

In the wake of the financial crisis, millions of Americans lost their homes to foreclosure while Wall Street and the big banks got bailed out with our money. Home values have plummeted, communities have been destroyed, and the cost of rent has sky-rocketed, making it increasingly difficult to afford even the most basic need . . . a home.

Occupy Our Homes Atlanta is a movement of residents and activists fighting side-by-side for just that . . . the right to decent housing for all. We believe that housing is a human right regardless of race, national or ethnic origin, economic background, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identification, or immigration status.

If you or someone you know is in a housing struggle, please contact us!
