Kell's Brian Randolph Signs with Tennessee
The Kell football standout signed his letter of intent to play football at the University of Tennessee on Wednesday
If there's one guy in Georgia who's glad to see the recruiting process come to an end, it's former star Brian Randolph. Randolph gave a verbal commitment to Tennessee in June 2010, but that didn't keep other teams from calling him. Teams could technically still recruit Randolph until his letter of intent was faxed in -- which happened Wednesday morning.
"It’s a big weight off my back," Randolph says of finally signing with the Vols.
The two biggest reasons Randolph picked Tennessee: he thinks Derek Dooley and Dooley's staff have the Volunteers on the rise and he also thinks he has a great chance to play as a true freshman.

"The plan is for me to play free safety," says Randolph, who rushed for 1,068 yards and totaled 21 touchdowns during his senior year. "The coaches are saying I should have pretty good chance of playing right away."
Randolph officially announced his intentions to play for Tennessee at a group signing event at Andretti Indoor Karting in Roswell. There were 165 Atlanta-area football standouts in attendance.
